Website Requirements (General + EU Compliance)

1. Contact Information (required for UK and EU)

Add this on a dedicated page like “Contact,” “About,” or “Legal Info”:

  • Your business name

  • Your physical address (not a P.O. Box)

  • Email address

  • Phone number (optional in the UK but required under EU e-commerce law)

  • VAT number, if registered

  • Company registration number, if registered (optional for sole traders)

Where to place it: Footer, Contact page, Terms & Conditions page

2. Business Identity and Responsible Person (EU Only)

If selling to the EU, under EU GPSR Article 16, you must include the details of your EU Responsible Person (RP). This is required before placing products on the EU market.

What to include:

  • Name of your EU Responsible Person (or company)

  • Physical address in the EU

  • Email or contact method

Where to display it:

  • On your product labels or packaging

  • On your website (best practice: include it on the Contact or Legal page, and optionally on each product page)

Example format:

3. Terms and Conditions (Legal Info Page)

You should clearly state:

  • Your returns and refunds policy

  • Delivery terms (shipping times, customs, etc.)

  • Privacy and cookies policy

  • Product safety disclaimers if needed
